Having always held the complete belief that I was a special human, possessed of a wonderful gift to see more than what is visible to the naked eye, in some ways has made it easy to never lose faith that I would live a life that would have me feeling so good that I can’t wait to get up each day. I never gave up searching for that magic key that would unlock my full potential as a spiritual being. Creating art is something I have always just done. Lacking the opportunity to go through a modern, formal education, I am a self-taught artist and writer. Im also mother to three wonderful sons and loving life-mate to an amazing man, who also is my business manager. We all live in the sun kissed land that time forgot (just kidding!), Portland Oregon. I started painting as a stress releaser, then as a passionate hobby, and then as a profession. I have worked hard and been lucky, and now enjoy an energetic international following. I am open to this lifes adventure, I am free, and these motivational words and quotes, oil paintings and sculptures, help me find my path to living a rich, vibrant life. My discoveries are openly expressed in my bold color choices and imagery. My work is intentionally easy to understand, by every age and type of being. Many times when I am being classified as an “art type” I have been grouped with; outsider art, visionary art, motivational/spiritual art, psychic/metaphysical art and abstract art. I don’t like labels myself, so I just go with whatever makes people happy, I just paint and create Heather style&call it what you like. Over the years, many of my patrons have shared with me that they felt an instant connection to the work. Life is seen with a sense of simple clarity; I enjoy sharing my own discoveries, my passions, pains and fears, I know that I am not alone in this world, and I make my mark. In the feedback I receive, I most often hear these descriptive words about my work: feel-good paintings, happy, bright, fun, easy to live with and high energy. From every when, who and from everywhere, I can find life lessons and inspirations. Magic is after all, timeless and eternal, waiting for each of us to find it, making the old hardness new and joyful, turning the past into seed for our fertile futures. I want to remember why I am here now; so these words, sculptures, functional art and paintings tell my story, marking the path of my adventure. BOLD * SAUCY* JOYFUL* REAL Come on universe, bring it!
