My paintings incorporate playful experimentation with the medium, elements of chance and accident, and letting go of control. The process usually dictates the direction of a painting. I view the act of painting as a metaphor for personal growth. The more I learn about my craft, the more I learn about myself. Piet Mondrian said it best when he wrote, Art is like religion…a means by which the universal may be revealed.
