The Pearl District's First Thursday Art Walk is a monthly celebration that brings together some of best artists in the Pacific Northwest.

Portland's trendy warehouse district, the Pearl, explodes with artists and patrons on the first Thursday of every month. Area galleries showcase sculpture, painting, photography, etchings and drawings, and stay open later. Shops and restaurants do the same, catering to the art lovers and hipsters.

The architecture in the Pearl is also something to experience. The neighborhood has grown out of its muddy streets in favor of walkable, tree-lined stretches lined with chic lofts and urban townhouses.
